Mary Jane White Svenningsen

She was born on Novermber 26, 1950 in Melrose, MA. She was the daughter of Jane Mayo and James White. She was the oldest of five children and had four sisters, Cherly Cerepanya of AZ., Laurie Hayes (deceased) of NH., Wendy White of FL., and Jamie White of FL.

She was married for 20 years to her husband, Glenn Svenningsen who died in January of 1996. She was a proud mother of five children, Rick Svenningsen and wife Michelle of Brewster, Chris Svenningsen of Orleans who passed away in September 2004, Kim Redihan and husband John of Brewster, Karen Svenningsen and husband Brian of Brewster and Glenn Svenningsen and wife Tessa of Orleans. She had nine loving grandchildren who will miss her very much, Rick's children, Michael and Caitlin, Kim's children Ava and Shea, Karen's children, Krista, Thomas, Emma and Charlie and Glenn's son, Glenn. She was a supportive mother and grandmother who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.

For most of her life she was a homemaker. When her children got older she became a CNA working mostly at private duty jobs where she was adored by many. She loved baking for her family and making special birthday, wedding and baby shower cakes. Mary Jane was extremely talented and creative. She also enjoyed quilting and gardening.

Mary Jane was a very special person and made all holidays memorable with her custom cookies and treats and thoughtfulness. She is loved by her children, grandchildren, family and friends and will be missed greatly. We love you Mom.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 2-5 at the Old Sea Pines Inn in Brewster.
