Nancy S. Hogarty

Nancy Hogarty: gone from sight, forever present in our hearts. Surrounded by her loving family, Nancy passed away at home on October 6, 2012.

She leaves behind her husband Robert W.C. Hogarty, her children Lynn Hogarty, Greg Hogarty and his wife Julie, Jill Hogarty, Sean Hogarty and his wife Cheryl, and Meaghan Detterman. She also leaves her grandchildren Nikki Toomey and her husband Robert, Luke Davis, Hannah Davis, Blake Detterman, Alicia Detterman, Andrea Detterman, Michelle Hogarty, and Rachel Hogarty; and many loving friends.

Nancy was born on April 12, 1938 in Schenectady, New York. She attended Russell Sage College: Ellis Hospital School of Nursing. She was a resident of Needham, MA, Libertyville, IL, and Englewood, FL before moving to Brewster, MA in 1995.

She was an active member and volunteer of the St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans, MA.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldridge Parkway, Orleans, MA from 4:00pm – 7:00pm. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 9:00a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Road, Orleans, MA.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to Pope John Paul II High School, Hyannis MA.
