We will miss Uncle Norman dearly.  He was a great brother to our father Ernest-Ernie.  I have such fond memories of visiting in Vermont as a child and all the fun weddings we went too.  
We are unable to attend the ceremony but are sending love and prayers.

I started working at Sears on Shelburne Road as a service tech in the 80's and worked with Norm until he retired.   He was great to work with and taught me many things as I was very new and needed help.  One day we got a call that a washing machine had failed and destroyed some valuable lingerie after having just been repaired.  The manager sent two of us to verify the problem.  When we got there Normed opened up the washer and yes that lingerie was shredded.  Norm looked at the console and pointed to the water level switch which was set on 'Extra low'  when it should have been on medium or higher.  She no longer was irate and we had a chuckle on the way back to the shop.
 I send my thoughts and prayers to his family.

Uncle Norman was my Godfather and has always held a special place in my heart. My family was lucky enough to spend lots of time in the summer with him and Aunt Rita up at our camp on Lake Parker. He was always such a hard worker and clever man.....clearing brush out in the woods, fixing anything that needed it to even building an outdoor shower and wood splitter. When I was in college at UVM I was fortunate to live with him and Aunt Rita at their home in South Burlington for a year....they always  made me feel so loved and taken care of. 
I will never forget his physical strength and most importantly his gentle and loving presence. My heart goes out to all the family and friends who were lucky enough to have him in their lives.

My dear Uncle Norm.  Uncle, friend, confidant, and best buddy I could ever have.  For years, Uncle Norm and I would cut firewood together to heat our homes.  One of many fond memories was the time my chainsaw would not run.  In a fit of desperation, I threw the saw with all my might.  Uncle Norm in his kind way said "You know, David, that chainsaw certainly will not run any better doing that!"  What a kind soul...

I could always count on him for friendship and kindness he so easily shared.  I could and did stop by his house many times to share a beer and great conversation.

He was so proud of his garden.  Squirrels were a bit of a pain to him.  He caught one and sprayed a white stripe down it's back and let it go 2 miles away...It returned...He loved sharing that story.

Aunt Rita,  Always remember the love he had for you and your children.  He was truly special.  Uncle Norm, you will be missed.

Uncle Norm was always a very special figure in my life.   As children living just one town away from Uncle Norm and Aunt Rita we spent many happy times in their home.   I can picture Uncle Norm in the kitchen at the ready for whatever his guests may need - he would seem to know before we would!    Always a smile - always generous - and one felt very loved just being in his presence.   
    My Mom would always remark on his amazing rhubarb and all the vegetables he would grow to such beauty.   He was a natural in his garden.
     In my visits to their home in the Cape,  again one felt very special just by being there.   That was the legacy of Uncle Norm I would say.   That his love was palpable.   That after spending time with him you were left with a sense of being truly loved - of being part of a family that you felt was one of your greatest blessing in life.   
   You will always be in my heart, Uncle Norm.    

My dear friends Joanne and Marc, my thoughts are with you during this difficult time.  How fortunate he was to have your loving presence by his side these last years and days.  I remember when you were building the raised garden beds for your beloved father and then seeing his bountiful garden when it was planted.  Being an avid gardener myself, I thought about how lucky he was that you not only understood his passion for growing plants, but that you also gave him the gift of being able to continue his love of gardening as he aged.  Joanne - although I only met your father briefly, I am so grateful that he gave us you and that I met you and Marc.  Know that you are not alone in your grief, I am here for you and carrying you all in my heart.

Dear Rita and family,

We were all so sad to hear of Norman's passing and we send you and your family our love and prayers in hopes it helps you a bit through the most difficult of life challenges. Norman was one of my father's best lifelong friends and I have so many fond memories of your visits and our time on Woodside Drive-- driving around the fields on snowmobiles and visiting in your kitchen. My parents still talk about your trip to Hawaii. Norman was a wonderful person and I can hear him laughing with my father.  His life has touched so many and he leaves a huge footprint on the world. He was  certainly loved my all that knew him. I feel so lucky to have had his life pass through my own life. We love you Rita and please reach out to my parents when you feel you can. Our brother- in-law Norm was very special to both of us .  Archie has fond memories traveling with him & Rita  in a camper to California, and Florida.  Also many years sharing retirement life in Leesburg drinking “nastrovias”!   Madeleine & Ron shared many fun times together with Rita & Norm on Parker Pond.  Our favorite story is him fighting the beavers in the outlet!  He was loving & kind & we will treasure all the memories.

Rest in peace dear uncle Normand.  My sincere condolences to his darling and beloved wife aunt Rita.  We have fond memories of a calm and loving man.  My sincere condolences to his siblings. 

My mother Henriette Airoldi is unable to give her condolences because of health reasons so please accept  my condolences on her behalf ❤️

I remember my uncle Normand and aunt Rita when he used to come home to the cottage in the summer and would use his police siren to announce their arrival. We as kids loved it and often asked for him to do it again. I am glad that we got to see them a few years back, just on the other side of the Can/U.S. border. We will miss him greatly.  To aunt Rita, cousins, we are praying for you in these though moments, may you have peace.
