Patricia Jeanette Chase

Patricia “Pat” J. Chase passed away peacefully on September 24. 2018 in Brewster at the age of 89. Born in Wellesley, MA, she washed ashore on Cape Cod as a child. Her parents, Jeanette and Joe Crowley, were the chefs/owners of the restaurant Crowley’s at Brewster. Pat met her husband, William “Bill” W. Chase there and they raised their family in West Brewster. She is pre-deceased by her parents, husband, brothers Leonard and Gene, and sister Barbara. Pat is survived by her children Judy Quinn (Centerville), Nan Trotter (Vidalia, GA) Bill Chase and his wife Karen (Brewster). She is also survived by her devoted niece Donna, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her relatives and friends of the Crowley, Chase and Benn families. Pat was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother and friend to many. Over the years, she watched the children of friends, cared for those in need as a home health aide, was a driver for the elderly and served Meals on Wheels. Thank you to the staff of Wingate at Brewster where she lived for the past 6 months. Your kind care was much appreciated by Pat and her children.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cape Cod Hospital, or Cape Cod Healthcare VNA and Hospice who compassionately cared for her in the last years and days of her life. A memorial service will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home in Orleans on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 10am, followed by a burial at Brewster Cemetery, Lower Road, Brewster. A gathering will occur after the burial at Encore Bistro & Bar, 36 Hope Lane, Dennis, MA.
