

ORLEANS – Patricia Grace (Knowles) Ducharme, 73, passed away peacefully in Maine on October 4, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born on June 3, 1938 to Otis and Josephine (Yanchurak) Knowles. She was predeceased by her only sister JoAnn (Knowles) Fulcher.
Patricia married Albert Joseph Ducharme, Jr. who passed in May of 1977. Together they built their home in East Orleans to raise their family.
She took great pleasure in creating the history of her children’s lives through her artistic sewing, weaving and bobbin lace. Annual accomplishments were presented at Christmas to her family through her works of art over the past 40 years. She remained a steadfast member of the Boston Weavers Guild, and the International Old Lacers. She especially loved her membership with the Mainely Weavers and her Wednesday Sewing Day. She embraced and loved her family and friends with her exuberant passion and delightful laughter.
Patricia is survived by her daughters, Brenda Ducharme Metterville and husband David, Paula Ducharme Aldrich and husband Joe, and Audrey Ducharme Harris; nieces, Deborah Fulcher and husband Gil, Donna Fulcher Hall and husband Robert; nephew, Russell Fulcher and wife Aryna; grandchildren, Joseph, Heather Pardue, Ryan Metterville; Frederick, James and Patrick Aldrich, Eryn (Hibbert), Brian and Adam Harris; great grandchildren, James, Jr., Gwyneth, and Charley Hibbert and Conner Pardue, she also leaves many grand and great grand nieces and nephews; all brought so much joy to her life.
She lived every day in the honor of her God and created precious memories of joy and love with her family and friends.
