

Bob was born on November 19, 1926 in Osterville, MA., moving to Orleans in 1929 and graduating in 1944 from the Orleans school system. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Air Force for 3 years upon which he was honorably discharged. Bob joined his brother, Dave at Kansas State University where he played baseball. While at Kansas State, he met his future wife, Dorothy (Dottie) Tolson whom he married in 1949. After graduation in 1951, he taught high school in Manhattan, Kansas for 6 years and then at Kansas State for 2 years where he coached baseball and basketball.
Bob and Dottie moved to Seaford, Delaware where he taught and coached for 18 years, winning 400 games between his Kansas and Delaware years. After returning to his beloved Cape Cod, Bob worked at Goose Hummock for 12 1/2 years and Ocean Edge for over 19 years.
He was a member of Masonic Temple Grand Lodge AF & AM of Kansas, VFW Brewster Post 9917 and Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America.
Golf, Nauset Beach, golden retrievers, trips to Florida and watching college basketball on TV were favored hobbies.
Bob was predeceased by his wife, Dottie of 52 years; parents, Elizabeth and Alexander; brothers, Francis (Marion), Dave and sister Betty (Russ). He leaves his sister-in-law, Althea Latham Bremner, special nieces and a nephew and their extended families and cousin Herb Farnsworth and family.
A graveside service will be held on Wed. March 8th @ 1pm in the Orleans Cemetery.
