Russell Eugene Denny

Born in Watertown, New York in 1936 a son to Russell E. Denny, Sr. and Ann Denny (stepmom) and Estell (Czarnecki) Denny. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1954, joined the United States Marine Corps in 1954-1957. A Cable Splicer with Verizon Telephone Co. (New York Telephone Co.) retiring after 27 years. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Watertown Elks Lodge #496, a member of Knights of Columbus and The American Legion, Watertown, NY. He was an avid golfer and bowler, if not partaking watching on television.

He married the love of his life, Myrna A. (Soules) Denny in 1959, after 55 years of marriage she predeceased him. He was also predeceased by his sisters, Elizabeth (Denny) Gengo and Madelyn (Denny) Fasciola.

He leaves behind his daughter, Myrna M. Denny, two grandchildren, Melissa DeMarco and David (Meghan) DeMarco, three great grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma and Grace. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Parkway, Orleans, MA 02653 on Friday, January 26th with calling hours 9:00 to 10:30 am. Mass following at St. Joan of Arc, 61 Canal Road, Orleans, MA at 11:00am.
