

Born and raised in Ottumwa, IA on April 9, 1942; he was the son of the late George and Marjorie (Adams) Lang both of Ottumwa, IA. He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1960. He served in the Air Force and was stationed at the Otis Air Force Base. He was a Masonic member. He was a commercial driver for local Nantucket companies for many years. He worked for the Steamship Authority and retired after 25 years. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling (49 of the 50 states), gardening, and bird feeding. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and his two pugs, J. T. Pugsley and Smokey.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind his daughters, Jenifer Condry, Michelle MacWalter, Elizabeth Arsenault, Wiona Seabert, Kim Early, Sandra Radzik, Lynne Richards; his brother and sister-in-law David and Sharon Lang, his sister and brother-in-law Julie and George Vandevort , and many beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephew.
His visitation will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 2-5 p.m. in the Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldredge Park Way, Orleans, MA. His funeral service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by his burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Eastham, MA.
