

Amelia Mazza Campana passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 95 in Ormond Beach, Florida, with her family by her side. She was born on July 2, 1930, in Pratola Serra, in the Avellino Province of Italy. She was the daughter of Sabato Mazza and Carmela (Capozzi) Mazza. Amelia was a resident of Ormond Beach, Florida.
She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1948. beginning a life rooted in family and faith. She met and married fellow Italian immigrant Edward Campana in 1951, and together they raised six children while building a loving home filled with warmth hard work and tradition.
Amelia was the last surviving of seven sisters Olympia, Helen, Lisetta, Fiorita, Jennie, Anita, and herself. each one forever remembered in the stories and the strength they shared. Their bond remained unbreakable throughout their lives. During the years the family lived in Massachusetts, several of the sisters and their children settled near one another, creating a neighborhood rich with Italian heritage where cousins grew up more like siblings and the traditions of their homeland stayed alive. The family lived in Massachusetts before settling in Ormond Beach, Florida.
She was the very definition of an incredible Italian mother, tirelessly devoted, endlessly generous, and the heart of her family. She cared for her children with selfless, unwavering love every day of her life. Amelia lived her faith with quiet strength and deep devotion, a lifelong Catholic whose trust in Jesus guided her in all things. She was the embodiment of grace and elegance -always beautifully dressed, carrying herself with dignity and warmth. Her presence was as lovely as her spirit, and her legacy is one of kindness, sacrifice, and love.
Amelia also found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved to dance, especially when surrounded by family. She enjoyed bingo and trips to the slot machines at the Hard Rock in Tampa, Las Vegas and Biloxi, always sharing laughter and excitement. Most of all, she adored fashion, taking pride in looking beautiful no matter the occasion.
Amelia is survived by her six children, Anthony and wife Joyce; Edward Jr. and fiancée Tracy; Lisa and husband John; Christina and husband Donald; John and Steven, all of Ormond Beach. Thirteen grandchildren, Cameron, Eric, Angeline, Vance, Sandra, Tony, Eddie, Stephanie, Collina, Candice, Kayla, Cole, Austin, Ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, she will truly be missed by all.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 5, at 10 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 South Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, Florida, with entombment to follow at Volusia Memorial Park, 548 North Nova Rd, Ormond Beach, Florida.
