It is with profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Barbara Becker, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Born on June 16, 1943, Barbara lived a vibrant life until her peaceful departure on August 16, 2024.
Barbara was the spirit of warmth, wit, and independence. She carried these traits into every aspect of her life, from her cherished family to her many interests and accomplishments. As a passionate tennis player, bell ringer and choir member for the church, she continually sought out activities that brought her joy and enriched her vibrant spirit.
Barbara's life was a living testament to her belief in the power of service to others and the delight of bringing comfort and happiness to those around her. It was this passion that led her to a fulfilling career as a dietician at the Halifax Medical Center, where she dutifully served until her retirement. Her dedication to her work and her patients was testament to her love for helping others.
At heart, Barbara was a family woman. She is survived by her sons, Michael Becker, and Todd Becker, whose love and admiration for their mother were echoed by her grandchildren - Chris, Caylah, Ben, and Addie. Barbara's favorite cause was her family, and she championed their happiness relentlessly. Her legacy is one of kindness and generosity, making a positive and lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to know her.
Barbara's warm heart, sharp wit, and strong spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and church community. Her laughter, wisdom, and unyielding support are her enduring gifts to us all. May she rest in peace and may her example continue to inspire and guide us.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lighthouse Christ Presbyterian Church, 1035 W Granada Blvd, Ormond Beach, Florida, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
