

Barry Dale Whittington, age 72, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Barry is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Jane Pool, and his two daughters, Tiffanny Whittington-Colhoun and Natalie (Barry) Van Dijk. He was a proud grandfather to Sara, CJ, Zachary (Nate), and Madison, and a great-grand dude to the delightful Xavier and Luna. Barry is also survived by his sister, Pam Parks, along with a host of family and friends who will miss his warmth and kindness.
A man of simple pleasures, Barry found joy in the sun-kissed shores of the beach, often donning his favorite Hawaiian shirts that reflected his vibrant spirit. He cherished the companionship of his beloved dog and, above all, treasured the moments spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His laughter and love created a bond that will continue to inspire and uplift those he leaves behind.
Barry's life was a testament to the importance of family, friendship, and the beauty of shared experiences. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, and his generous heart touched the lives of many. As we remember Barry, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the love he so freely gave.
