Carmella Welch

Carmella Welch, 96, of Ormond Beach, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Saturday September 25, 2010 at Bridgeview Center in Ormond Beach, FL. She was born on November 19,1913 in Brooklyn, NY to Nicholas and Antoinette Gatta. She was a retired Seamstress and a homemaker who moved to this area in 1976 from West Islip, NY.

She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family.

Survivors include her two sons, Arthur of CA and Paul of NY; Brother, Dominic Gatta of FL; Sister Tina of NY; Five Grandchildren, John Rossi, Donna Rossi, Michael Welch, Paul Welch, and Kevin Welch; Five Great Grandchildren, Jackie Benkert, Alexis Routzahn, Brian Rossi, Marc Rossi, and Jake Rossi; and Two Great-Great Grandchildren, Lukas and Jaclene Routzahn.

She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, daughter, Arlene Rossi, two grandchildren Wendy and Suzie, and eleven brothers and sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday September 27, 2010 in The Ormond Beach Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Homes. A Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. til the Service begins at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow the Funeral Service in Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach.
