Constance Marie Coates

Constance Marie Coates, 86, of Ormond Beach, passed away on March 12, 2012 at Florida Hospital Memorial, Daytona Beach. Constance was born on May 16, 1925 in New York, NY to the late James and Louise (Griffith) McGeechan. Constance was a retired Key Punch Computer Operator. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, and she was very active in the Bear Creek Community. Constance is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Willis Coates. Additional survivors include her three sons, Scott Hanley (Barbara); Keith Hanley (Laura); and Kevin Hanley (Lenith); her step-son, Michael Coates (Kathy); her 7 grandchildren; her 7 great-grandsons; and her cats, Jessie & Jenny. Constance was preceded in death by her first husband, John Hanley; her son, Brian Hanley; her brother, James; and her sister, Lillian. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 15th in Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 North Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Friday, March 16th in the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 South Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL, with Father Bill Zamborsky as Officiant. Interment will follow at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 North Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL.
