Edward J. Hartnett

Edward Joseph Hartnett of Ormond Beach, FL passed away April 18, 2012 at Florida Hospital in Ormond Beach. He was 83 years old. Edward was born in Johnstown, PA on Jan. 11, 1929. He and his wife, Barbara, have resided in Plantation Bay for 12 years. Edward served his country with the US Infantry as a paratrooper in Japan from 1946-49. He then attended Penn State University and graduated in 1953. He was with Agway Corporation in Syracuse, NY for thirty years, retiring as Group Vice President. He was a member of Plantation Bay Golf Club, and a life member of Penn State Alumni Association. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Barbara; and his five children: Jeffrey (Atlanta, GA), Gregory (Indiana, PA), Christina (Atlanta, GA), Richard (Denver, CO), and Patrick (Orlando, FL). Edward had 7 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Also brothers Jack (Zanesville, OH), Mike (Brookview, PA) and Chuck (Blairsville, PA).
