Eric Jay Gillmore

Eric Jay “Tiny” Gillmore, 51, passed away November 24, 2011 with his beloved family by his side. He was born September 20, 1960 in East St. Louis, IL to Elmer Gillmore and Leona Harp. He married the love of his life Cheryl Rock on April 25, 1981, they moved to Ormond Beach in 2001.

A man who loved to always continue his education he was studying at Daytona State to become a special education teacher. He proudly served his country in the Navy and Coast Guard retiring after 22 years. He enjoyed working on computers and reading. As he always said he was a jack of all trades, master of none.

He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his mother Leona, his brothers John and Ben, sisters Jamie, Lori, and Misty, brother-in-law Joe, sister-in-law Dee, Grandmother Gertrude Stachurski, many extended family members and his beloved cat Angel.

A funeral service will be held 3:00PM, Tuesday November 29, 2011 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL 32174. The family will receive friends from 1:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations go to a Scholarship of ones choice to help children continue their education.
