

Visitation for Irena Kos who passed away Monday March 21, 2011 at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach will be Wednesday March 23 from 4pm-6pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach. Mrs. Kos was born in Kingston, New York and moved to this area in 1989 from her birthplace. She was a 1949 graduate of Kingston High School and retired in 1982 from New York Telephone as an operator. Mrs. Kos was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of Tomoka Christian Church. She was an avid game player including Bingo, Bunco, and chinese checkers. She did watercolor and pencil art work as well. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, John; two sons, Clifford ( Rosalind) M. Smith, Seabeck, WA and Joel (Jennifer) F. Smith, Lake Katrine, NY; three grandchildren, Daniel J. Smith, Collin J. Smith and Jenna A. Smith.
