Jean Leonard

Jean was born in Brooklyn, NY daughter of David and Adela (Doliner) Moverman. In 1949 she married Dr. Harold A. Leonard and they shared 58 years together until his passing in 2007. Jean earned a bachelor of business administration degree from Baruch College of the City University of New York and a masters of library science from Long Island University, and worked as a children’s librarian in public schools in Suffolk County, Long Island, and in Oneonta, New York.Jean was instrumental in setting up the library at Temple B’nai Torah where she was a member for many years.

She was the loving mother of Arthur, Ray and David; grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 5. Her brother, Irving Moverman and sister, Elsie Gerber predeceased her.A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday April 7, 2017 at Mt. Sinai Cemetery, 340 White Street Daytona Beach.
