Katherine M. Furman

Katherine Mary Furman passed away on July 6, 2022 at the age of 100

Katie was born September 7, 1921 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Lewis and Florence Thornton

Katherine (Katie) and her husband, Harold, moved to Palm Coast, Fl in 1986 upon their retirement. In 2003, Harold died, and Katherine moved to Bishops Glen Retirement Center in Daytona Beach. In October 2021, Katherine broke her leg and moved to Solaris for treatment and care.

Preceded in death by husband Harold Furman; parents Lewis & Florence Thornton

Survived by: son, Lynn Furman; daughter-in-law, Beverly Furman.

Grandchildren: Kimberly Moinet and her spouse Aaron Moinet; Aaron Furman and his spouse, Kristina Furman.

Great-Grandchildren: Samuel Furman and Madeline Furman

Katie was, at heart, a kind and out-going person with a love for art and people. She loved to do paintings in both oil and watercolors. She loved to create pottery and decorate it. She loved to bake bread and other good stuff. She loved to sew to create clothing. She had profound respect for her caregivers who did so much for her over the years as her health declined.
