Kelly was born at Halifax Hospital, Daytona Beach, on September 7, 1973. At the age of 5 she moved with her family to the Bay Area of San Francisco where they resided for 11 years. Kelly attended Clayton Valley High School in Concord, Ca., later moving back to Florida to attend and graduate from Seabreeze High School in 1991.
Kelly was a beautiful, free spirit who was always upbeat and smiling. She touched many people in her life with her kindness, compassion and caring. Her love for her siblings, long term relationships with friends, and cats was endless. She loved and lived life in a carefree manner. Kelly never met a stranger because she assumed that everyone was her friend.
During her high school years Kelly had many interests but singing was her favorite in high school plays and choirs. She was a member of the choir competition in 9th grade that won first place to sing at Disneyland’s High School Christmas Concert in Anaheim, California. Then in Florida as a member of the Seabreeze Choir winning the honor to sing at Disney World’s Living Christmas Tree concert. Not many have had that opportunity.
Kelly graduated from (DBCC) now Daytona State College with an Associates Degree and attended the University of Central Florida. She had continued to pursue a degree in Marketing taking online courses and worked in marketing and retail positions.
Kelly had several cats over her lifetime but her big love was London who sadly predeceased her several months ago. Her grandmother, Tillie Trotnow from Winnipeg, was a big part of her life and she would always share stories of grandma, her teachings and the things she remembered. Kelly leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of her parents, Paul and Linda McCauley, will forever be missed by her sisters, Lori Medley (Michael) of McCormick, S.C., Marie McCauley, Jadon (Alex) Velez, of Jacksonville, DeeDee (Ken) Burkes of Lake City, many nieces and nephews, her uncle Bob Trotnow in Winnipeg, numerous relatives in the USA and Canada and countless friends.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
