

Margaret Buckley, 88, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2013. Margaret was born February 17, 1925 in Beauty, KY, daughter of Barbara (Szmutko) and John Hegedus. She moved from Ewing, New Jersey in 1979 and settled in Ormond Beach. Her one of a kind style was admired by many and her family will always remember how proud she was of her heritage and family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Margaret had many interests including dancing, gardening, playing bingo, country music and an occasional trip to the casino. For 15 years she and her husband Buck operated Buck’s Beach Wagon. The family would like to thank the staff of Health Center of Daytona Beach and Gentiva Hospice for the care and compassion given to Margaret and her family. Her husband Elwood “Buck” Buckley and 6 brothers and sisters predeceased her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Patricia Buckley and her husband Joseph Galante of Philadelphia, PA, Monica Nitti and Michele Turbin both of Ormond Beach; grandchildren; Andrew Nitti, Chelsea and Alexis Turbin, her sister Barbara Cammarata of Ewing, NJ and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 PM at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 N. Nova Rd. Ormond Beach. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Monday 2:00 pm followed by interment in Volusia Memorial Park.
