Maria D Farina

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Maria Farina, 86, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 18, 2025. A gifted seamstress by trade and a wonderful cook, she was known not only for her skilled hands, but for the extraordinary kindness that touched everyone around her. She devoted her life to her beloved daughters, cherished sons-in-law, and adoring grandchildren and great-granddaughter. All whom she was so proud of and filled her with joy.

Family was the cornerstone of her life. She found happiness in spending time with her loved ones, tending to her garden, and enjoying serene walks. She will always be remembered as caring, giving and loving Mom/Nonna. Her generosity and willingness to help others left an enduring mark on everyone blessed enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Filomena (Mario) DiCristofaro of Palm Coast, FL and Vincenza (Jim) Phelps of Naples, FL; her grandchildren, Nico (Ellie) DiCristofaro of Palm Coast, FL, Alexa DiCristofaro of Scotia, NY, James Phelps, Jr. (Bailee-fiancé) of St. Petersburg, FL; her great-granddaughter, Maven DiCristofaro of Palm Coast, FL; her brothers Vito Farina of Ferrandina, Italy; Giovanni (Vincenzina) Farina of Corigliano, Calabria; and loving nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents Vincenzo and Lucrezia Farina and her brother Franco Farina.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who reached out during this difficult time. Thanks to the staff at Grand Villa of Palm Coast for their dedication and kindness in caring for our mom. Special thanks to Advent Hospice, whose compassionate care provided comfort to our mom in her final days and offered solace to our family.

A private service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
