

on Sunday, June 26th at Volusia Memorial Park, 548 South Nova Rd., Ormond Beach. The Viewing will begin at 11am, with the
service to follow at 1pm. Marjorie was born March 7th 1931at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. She was the only child
born to her parents Lonnie Madison DeSha and Mary Struth DeSha. Marjorie grew up in her family home in Wildwood, Florida and
remained a native Floridian throughout her life. After high school Marjorie attend Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL where
she earned her masters degree. After the sudden death of her first husband, Marjorie meet her second husband Harry J. Duffy Jr.,
while working as a Media Specialist at Daytona Beach Junior Collage. On April 18th of 1962 Marjorie and Harry were married. Soon
after Harry adopted all 4 of Marjorie's children from her previous marriage, Sherry, Terrie, George, and Georgette. Then 14 years later
Harry and Marjorie would also adopt their granddaughter Kerrie. Marjorie was fond of dancing, family outings and she spent
countless hours volunteering for numerous organizations. She was also very active in the community as a member and officer of
several organizations such as the DAVA, MOPH, VFW, IOF, Power Squadron, PTA, School Board and both Boy & Girl Scouting.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter's, Sherry and Terrie Duffy, Deland; son, George Duffy, Daphne, Ala.; granddaughter, Kerrie
Carré, Deland; grandson's, Justin Duffy, Daphne, Ala. and Jordan Duffy, New Smyrna Beach; and great grandson’s, Christian and
Kyle Carré, Deland. Margie, we will all miss you very much, and we feel truly blessed to have the honor of knowing you. For more
