

After serving in the US Navy and getting married, with wanderlust he lived in many different
places including St.Thomas, Virgin Islands, Clearwater, FL and Brunswick, GA before settling in
Ormond Beach, FL where he died in AdventHealth hospital.
Michael was the oldest of 7 siblings. Sue (Alan) Davis of Lee’s Summit, MO, Dan (Ellen)
Wasilewski of Chester, CT, Lorraine (William) Cappetta of Plainfield, VT, Tom (Rose) Wasilewski
of Bethlehem, PA, Matthew (Helena) Wasilewski of Meriden, CT and Jane Wasilewski of Fort
Mill, SC.
Michael enjoyed working on older cars, especially the muscle cars of the 60’s. He was a great
handyman and could fix most anything.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Mary Rose, daughter, Karen Germain of New Port Richey,
FL and son David (Melanie) Wasilewski of Miami, grandchildren Jessica Germain of Palm
Coast, FL, Michelle Germain of Cheyenne, WY, Cooper and Piper Wasilewski of Miami, along
with 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be celebrated at a yet to be determined date in 2024.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church,
1000 Ocean Shore Blvd. Ormond Beach, FL 32176, noting in the memo line the food Pantry in
memory of Michael.
