Murray Knox Hamilton

Murray K. Hamilton, 83, of Ormond Beach passed away, Friday, November 18, 2016. He was born in Detroit Michigan, son of Alice and Clarence Knox and honorably served in the U.S. Navy. After serving in the Navy, Murray worked as a Freight Conductor for the Long Island Railroad. He retired on June 1, 1984 after 27 years of service. He has spent the last 32 years in Florida where he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Patricia; children, Michael (Linda) Hamilton, Michele Hamilton, Joanne Hamilton, Ramey (Xiomara) Budgen and Karee Budgen Wick; grandchildren, Sean Hamilton, Keri Armstrong, Kevin Hamilton, Jamie Hamilton, Nikki Wilmes, Brett Wilmes, Keith Wick , Kevin Wick, Kyle Budgen and Bryce Budgen; great- grandchildren, Sean and Chyeann Hamilton, Britney and Cali Armstrong and Kevin Hamilton, Jr., sister, Alice Dee Goodson; brother, George W. Knox; niece, Mary Wilson and Jesse Wilson and grand niece and nephew, Jessica and John Wilson. A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach . The family will receive friends at 5:30 prior to services.
