

Beaver, Ronald Lester, 82, of Palm Coast, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014. Ronald was born in Groveport, Ohio, Son of the late Lester Beaver and Julia Fresh Beaver. An Air Force veteran, he honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict. Ronald received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University, was a life time member of the alumni association and an avid Buckeyes fan. Ronald was also a life time member of the VFW, American Legion and the Palm Coast Elks. He was a bank examiner for the FDIC until his retirement in 1987. During that time he was instrumental in the implementation of the WANG Computer System, the first computer system used by the FDIC. His family will always remember his quiet nature, intelligence and organizational skills. His hobbies include gourmet cooking, RV and boating, traveling the world, working and building things with his hands. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years Marilyn, children; Karen, Sharon and Ronald Beaver; twin brother; Donald Beaver, grandsons; Matthew Beaver, Mark Madvid, Lewis Dunn and Ronald D. Beaver ; great-granddaughter; Skylar Marie Heiser and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday (today) 1:00-2:00 pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 548 North Nova Rd. Ormond Beach. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Air Force honors and burial in Volusia Memorial Park. Donations may be made in his memory to Salvation Army or a charity of one’s choice.
