

Ron is survived by his wife of 61 years Roma (Asher) Neat, his four children, Kevin (Kathe) Neat, Ormond Beach; Kristi (Chip) Wheeler, Ormond Beach; Kara (David) Spyros, Fleming Island; and Jason (Jeanne) Neat, Ormond Beach; and 11 grandchildren, Dawson, Andrew, Lilli, Ryan, Brandon, Camryn, Adyson, Teagan, Charlee, Eason and Ella.
Ron was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Ethel and Bruce Neat on March 6, 1935. Ron was the oldest of seven children. He attended Western Hills High School, Class of 1953, and served in the United States Army.
Ron officially retired in 2006 after holding many positions of employment: A Life Insurance and Men’s Clothing Salesman, A Hospitality Manager, An Environmental Services Manager and An Operations Manager at a local College. Ron was also an independent Pen & Ink Artist and without having any formal instruction would put pen to paper and create amazing artwork that would sell out at Art Shows all over the country.
Early in his life, he recorded several records and performed at different venues. He was an incredibly talented vocalist.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Flagler Gun and Archery Club where he shot the Winchester 100 Straight earning him the nickname Sharpshooter. Ron received the biggest joy from his membership at his church home; First Baptist Daytona Beach. He attended Sunday School, participated in the Choir and brought the message of God's Love to the residents through his discipleship with the Nursing Home Ministry.
Ron’s legacy will be that of a life deeply rooted in faith and the choice to live in meaningful acts of Love and Service. Ron entered into a new life of faith and commitment to Christ on August 14, 1977.
Ron will be deeply missed by his Family and All who knew him. His smile was constant; His heart was ever caring and He Loved his Family, Friends and Jesus!
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Bruce Neat; brother, William Neat; his sisters, Beverly Long and twins, Joan Fithen and Janet Ritchey.
