On Thursday, December 29th Jesus called for Samuel Giordano to join him. Sam moved to Ormond Beach in the late 80’s after retiring from trucking industry management in Cleveland, Ohio. For a few years he worked as gate security during the Volusia County Fair & Youth Show. Sam served as an usher at prince of peace church in Ormond beach
Also upon retirement he became an accomplished writer. To date he had six coffee table short story and poetry books published. Sam was born in Erie, PA and graduated from Gannon University.
Surviving Sam are MaryAnne, his wife of 60 years of Ormond Beach, son Thom of Houston, TX and grandsons Christian and Nicholas of Ormond Beach.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 4-7 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Ormond Beach. A Mass will be at 11am Thursday at Prince of Peace followed by interment at Volusia Memorial Park, located at 550 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, Florida 32174.
