

William Garrett Warrington, Sr., born January 11, 1931 passed away on Thursday February 26, 2015 at the age of 84, surrounded by loved ones. William retired from F.W. Woolworth Co. with 36 years of exceptional service. He was a 32nd Degree Mason of The Scottish Rite, a member of the Zangi Grottos of North America and the President of The Pinewood Cemetery, located on Main Street in Daytona Beach. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of The Latter Day Saints (Mormon) where he served as an elder. William was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Joyce Warrington, it was once remarked that he found his jewel in a five and dime store.
He is survived by his four children; William G. Warrington, Jr. (Maggie) of Orlando, FL, Richard Warrington (Heidi) of Gunpowder, MD, Sandra Warrington Davis (Todd) of Port Orange, FL and Suzanne Tirado (John) of Bechtelsville, PA. William is also survived by his sister Mary Ellen Wilkins of Massachusetts, twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday March 5, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. and Friday March 6, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, located at 548 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Friday March 6, 2015 at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made in William’s memory to Pinewood Cemetery at P.O. Box 263146 Daytona Beach, FL 32126.
