

Wilma Inez M. Stracener, 95, of Ormond Beach, FL, passed away Monday September 19, 2016 at her home. Inez was born October 5, 1920 near Oneonta, AL to the late Mary Jane and Walter Lee Mullins. She had been a resident of the Daytona Beach area since the early 1960’s.
Inez is survived by; her sister Catherine Jones, her daughter Edwina Price, son-in-law Rex Price, five grandchildren; Karen Price-Crowder, Heidi Cowley, Aleisa Leyva, Scott Price and Jamie Stracener, six great-grandchildren; Alex Crowder, Briana Outlaw, Winnie Burt, Tristan Crowder, T.C. Leyva and Lauren Price, and a number of nieces.
Inez and her husband Craig operated a business in Birmingham, Alabama before moving to the Daytona Beach area. They opened a restaurant on the Boardwalk and later owned Craig’s Gifts & Curios on the beachside of Daytona Beach for many years
Inez took up golf in her fifty’s and with never a lesson became a club champion, won numerous trophies and was a member of the hole-in-one club, for which she received a plaque from Spalding Sports Worldwide.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband James Craig Stracener, Sr., sons Jim Stracener and Al Stracener, sisters Pauline (Polly) Nelson and Nellie Moore and her brother Buddy Mullins.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the caregivers who assisted Inez for a number of years and most recently Kindred at Home Hospice. Their loving care and efforts were unbelievable.
The family will receive guests from 1:00 P.M. ~ 1:30 P.M. on Friday September 23, 2016 in the Oceanside Room of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, located at 548 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, with a celebration of Inez’s life to follow at 1:30 P.M.
