Amalia Ziccarelli Longo

Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa on Friday, October 19th, 2012, in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Domenico of 58 years. Loving mother of Maria Cara and Laura Druce (Roy). Proud Nonna of Annalisa and Francesco Cara, Michael and Jessica Druce. Dear sister of Adamo Ziccarelli (Cristina), Saletta Bruni (Antonio), Salvatore Ziccarelli (Rosetta), Ottorino Ziccarelli (Maria), Francesca Canonico (Antonio), and predeceased by Elvira, Orazio and Antonio Ziccarelli. Dear daughter of the late Agostino and Teresina Ziccarelli. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends both in Canada and Italy. A Special Thank You to Dr. Jose Chang, and the 6th Floor nursing staff for their kindness and support at the L.H.O. Cancer Centre. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, October 23rd, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Ave., Oshawa) on Wednesday, October 24th, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations made to the Hearth Place would be appreciated.
