Anna-Marie Jean Greentree

Anna-Marie passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa, with her beloved husband of 58 years Neil and family at her side on Tuesday, March 11th, 2014 at the age of 78. Cherished mother of Brent (Linda), Karen (Bob) Houston and Darryl (Melissa). Loving Grandma of Brent Jr. (Lisa), Trevor (Shannon), Jennifer (Brad) Wornstaff, Brian (Andrea) Houston, Craig Houston, Christopher and Kelsea. Great-Grandma of Alyssa, Chase, Keeganne, Dylan, Avery and Liam. She was predeceased by her parents Howard and Jean Hoskin, Baby Brian Greentree, brother-in-law Douglas Greentree and sister-in-law Joan Hoskin and brothers Gordon and Gary Hoskin. Anna-Marie was one of ten children and will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Kenneth (Mary) Hoskin, Shirley Mason, Betty (Charlie Durno) Greentree, Jack (Carol) Hoskin, Donna (Bryan) Smith, Joanne Harper, Joe (Lois) Hoskin, and sister-in-law Linda Hoskin. She will also be missed by her Uncle Doug (Marilyn) Love and Aunt Muriel Hoskin and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Anna-Marie was a leader who enjoyed people, sports, church and giving her time to things that made a positive difference. A valued member of the Oshawa Curling Club, Anna-Marie was awarded a Life Membership in recognition of her enthusiasm, participation and involving others in this great sport. Visitation will be held at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Sunday, March 16th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, March 17th at 3:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation or Lakeridge Health Foundation – Cancer Care.
