Artur Martins Soares

On Saturday, April 11, 2026, we said goodbye to Artur Martins Soares, a man whose life was defined by quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Born and raised in Portugal, he carried with him the values learned in his early years — hard work, humility, and kindness — and lived them every day. To his family, he was a source of wisdom and comfort. To his friends, he was loyal and steady. To all who knew him, he made the world a little better simply by being in it.

Artur is survived by his dearly beloved wife, Maria. He was the loving father of Ana (Brian), Luis (Angela), Ligia, and Peter (Luisa). He was the cherished papa “Vavô” of Cheyenne, Mark Antony, Kenneth, Alessia, Krystina, Cristian, and Stefano, and the proud great papa of Chase and Stella.

He is also survived by his sister Maria Isabel, and was predeceased by his siblings Joao, Manuel, Leontina, Maria Dos Anjos, Beatriz, and Jose.

His memory will continue to guide and inspire all who loved him.
