As a regular visitor, the thing I remember most about Brian is his brilliant smile! I barely have a memory of Brian where he wasn't beaming. That's what is important about life -- no matter how long you are given, to live every minute to its fullest. Brian lived well -- grabbing a hold of life with both hands and wresting every last bit out of it. We were all lucky to have known him. I believe he is off somewhere in Heaven testing out new high-speed watercraft...when he is not here, watching over his loved ones!

Time can move so quickly yet seem to stand still.
 
The last time you saw him, laughed with him or kissed him was forever ago yet the pain and sorrow of losing him feels like only seconds.

The sorrow I shared with Russell and Trude on the day of Brian's death will haunt me all my days. Brian was raised by two loving, caring parents and was evident in that Brian was universally liked. He was a very decent man, as a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a friend and this is his legacy.

Time may soften the harsh edges of his loss but the void in the lives of all he touched will remain forever.

RIP Brian.

Trudy and Russ.  Almost a year since Brian left you. I was reminded recently of a poem that sums up loss and how we carry on.


"Though nothing can bring back the hour
 Of splendour in the grass,
 of glory in the flower,
 We will grieve not, rather find
 Strength in what remains behind;"

I've been deeply saddened by Brian's passing. We skied on the racing team together at BHS and I knew him as fun, kind and generous of heart. We had just been messaging about a ski day with the old team and our families. I am sorry it never came to fruition. Please know that Brian will be remembered fondly by us all.

My family did not have the pleasure of meeting Brian, but he was my 2nd cousin.  My parents (Ann and James Watters, Edinburgh Scotland) told me of your sad news last night and I just wanted to send my condolences.  You are all in my thoughts, and those of the rest of the Watters family in Scotland.
