Burnell Earl Morris

With great sorrow the family announces the passing of a loving husband, wonderful father and grandfather on June 22, 2012 at the age of 81 surrounded by his loving family. He will be sadly missed by wife Doreen (Dobson), loving father of Carolyn (Gary), Faye (Blair), and Randy (Ruth). Grandfather of Jim, Norm, Troy, Kim, Rod, Amanda, Ryan, Jeff, James, and Chad. Great grandfather of LaKrisha, Austin, Clayton, Richard, Collin, Chandler, and Cody. Son of the late Earle and Linnie Morris (Parrboro, Nova Scotia), dear brother to Jeanie (Jordie) and Dallas (Loretta). Predeceased by brothers, Ross, Howard and Wyman, and sister Isabell. Fondly remembered by his extended family and many wonderful friends. Especially by his band members from “The Shades of Sliver”. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Monday, June 25th from 7-9pm and Tuesday, June 26th from 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 27th at 3:00 pm for a celebration of Burnie’s life. Reception to follow.
