On Friday, May 21st, 2010, our beloved son Cody lost a brave battle at St. Michael’s Hospital, following a tragic car accident at the age of 19 years. Cody was taken from us far too soon. Son and brother, we think of you as our “shooting star” that shone so brightly, but far too briefly! Cody is survived by loving parents Steve and Kim DeNoble; brother Dustin; grandparents Ron and Jackie Beck, Richard and Janet DeNoble; aunt and uncle Debbie and Ron Mulder; cousins Kassie, Niki and Abbie Mulder; and uncle Chris DeNoble. Predeceased by uncle Rona Beck. Cody was a heroic Big Brother. Dustin constantly looked to him for guidance and inspiration. He was his brother, best friend and idol. Cody was the Sunshine of our lives and was always a happy, fun loving considerate friend to everyone that had the privilege of knowing him. Graduating from Henry Street High School with scholarship honours, Cody proceeded to successfully complete is first year at York University. He was studying his passion of music in the Jazz Guitar Program, and always felt so fortunate to have been able to follow his dreams. Sadly we will never hear the extravagant music he would have produced. Cody, right now it feels like our broken hearts will never mend, and we will never be happy again. We know how much you love us, and that you would want us to remember you, while carrying on with warm hearts and smiles. Friends may call at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street, West, (905-721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday, May 25th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 26th at THE EMBASSY CHURCH (416 Taunton Rd. W. Oshawa) at 11:00 a.m., followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship has been established to honour Cody’s name. Cheques payable to the Cody DeNoble Music Scholarship Fund would be greatly appreciated.
