I will never forget the day I had my father sit on my motorcycle. It breaks my heart that we never got a chance to ride together. RIP Dad you always ride in my memories and heart.

David Michael Bourne loved the Camaro muscle car. His dream was to own one. He had it picked out even but sadly passed before he could achieve his wish. So we made him a model in tribute of his dream car. This will be placed with him to rest. His car was always an orange 2006 Chevy Camaro with the 6.2L V8 and a manual 6 speed transmission. That’s right he wanted a manual even though automatics have more gears and shift faster than any human can. He was old school in that regard. Bourne To Be Wild! Wild and Free 🦅 

This is David’s pride and joy. You know that country song about driving his truck?…. Talking about remembering someone close and loved. This is where many of us will be visiting the man, the myth and the legend of David Michael Bourne. 

Here is David in his element at the helm of his vessel 🚢 looking like a boss ;) he loved to boat 🚤 and it’s where he was free but also at peace. He loved being able to choose his neighbour’s or go fish 🎣 quietly somewhere with nothing but Mother Nature around. 💜

Young David Michael Bourne =] I never saw him with his beard 🧔🏻 so long. 

Dad (David) and I going ice fishing. That was a cold day. LoL =] not a lot of snow either. =] but a good memory of an awesome gentle man. 

My father was to get his motorcycle with me this year come spring when the school reopens. I told him we could both go and do the course together. He responded “…but you have your motorcycle license.” My reply “… yes but it’ll be fun to see you enjoying yourself on two wheels so you better not mess up. I’ll be there to watch and pick you up off the ground.” He didn’t like that. Upon seeing his face I said “… well don’t mess up. “ =] that was our plan. I told him. “You dress for the crash not the ride.” I told him I have a motorcycle you can ride or crash. It won’t bother me. We can go to a parking lot with cones and I will teach you what you need to easily make it through the course. That was our dream. Father and son riding together. 

I am so sorry for the loss of David. I send all my love and prayers to the whole family. 

David had a love for motorcycles. He once told me a story where he was showing off and drove his bike into his dads car. The forks got bent. Percy and David fixed the bike together. It was a Honda Goldwing. He always wanted to get back on two wheels but this time it would be a Harley Davidson. His goal was to ride with his son. 

Peace and Grace! My thoughts and prayers are with your family.   

Rest well my cousin.  Enjoy the reunion with your beloved parents, Betty and Percy, and your brothers, Bruce, Keith and younger brother Ralph.  Until we meet again.
