Our heart felt condolences to you Glenda and your family.  Dave was a good friend and colleague.  He didn’t deserve the suffering he endured without complaint and he’ll be missed by the many people who had the honour of knowing him. Glenda and family: So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I was privileged to work for and with Dave at Community Memorial Hospital, and he taught me so much about organization and process, habits which served me throughout my working life and in my personal life, He was a calm, steady leader and a true gentleman. I have many fond memories of morning coffee breaks in the cafeteria, where staff from every part of the hospital gathered with Dave to unwind and share. Glenda, you and Dave are a standard of a great marriage and partnership, and you took such good care of him. I will miss Dave, but I am so glad to have known him.

Dave was a wonderful friend. Some of my best memories are of golfing at Monck’s Landing with Dave, and in the early days with Ray as well. We had lots of laughs and shenanigans on that course. I also remember admiring Dave in the later years, how he fought through Parkinson’s and mastered those putts. What a powerful force of will that must have taken. Dave was instrumental in making the SBCA corn roast a success for many years, too. From picking up the freshest corn on the way to the cottage to cooking it, and also I remember Glenda making all those butter pats. One of my fondest memories is when we arrived back to the lake after golfing, having a beer on his deck while listening to the kids playing in the water down below. Thank you Dave, for providing wonderful memories!

Dear Glenda and family - - Jane and I send our sincere and deepest sympathy on the passing of Dave.  I could tell that he was a fine person and I was always delighted when he would speak to me.  He was so fortunate to have your never-ending and loving care.  May Strength and Peace be your comfort as you go forward without Dave's earthly presence. Sincere condolences, Glenda, to you and your family.

As you know, I worked with Dave at Community Memorial Hospital from 1974 until his retirement in 1995. Over the course of two decades, Dave gathered and shaped a group of managers and staff who worked together as colleagues regardless of job description.  We fondly remember those "Camelot" days at CMH, working with such a values-based leader who always had the best interests of the patients, staff, physicians and community in his decisions. Dave modelled a balanced life in working diligently at the office, yet  ensuring time for family, church, friends and community. 

Dave was one of the best and he will be missed by many. May it comfort you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Strength to you all.

So sorry to hear of your loss. My deepest condolences to all of you, travelling the road of grief. 

 I have many fond memories of Mr. Brown, the funniest ones when Glenda, Dave and my parents were leading the Hi C group at church.  Memories of the Teen Ranch trip in particular, leaves me smiling.
