Slipped away peacefully at Rideaucrest Nursing Home, Kingston, Ontario on Sunday, November 15th, 2015 in the loving care of compassionate care givers of the Residence. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Kapanaiko of Oshawa. Daughter of the late Maria and Nicholas Powlenzuk. Loving mother of Kristine Van Allen and her husband Steven of Kingston, Ontario and Taras Kapanaiko and his wife Tammy of Oshawa. Dear sister to the late Helen Raizenne and Sophy Laptuta and sister-in-law to Olya Kapanaiko presently of Oshawa. Devoted baba to Gabriel, Will, Nicholas and Adrianna. Cherished auntie to Andre, Darice, Melanie and Tyler. Please join the family for a celebration of her life at the OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18th from, 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, November 19th at 10:00 a.m. Interment at St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Cemetery.
