Elisabeth Irene Turner

Peacefully passed away with family at her side at Lakeridge Health – Oshawa on Saturday, June 25th, 2011 at the age of 64. Beloved wife of Philip John Turner of 45 years. Dear daughter of the late John and May Gilbert. Cherished daughter-in-law to Reg and Joan Turner. Loving Mum of daughter Lisa Rodkin (nee Turner) and her partner Jason Martin, son Philip Craig Turner and wife Silvia Turner. Treasured Grandma to Aaron Rodkin. Dear sister to June Rich and husband Colin Rich and late brother Derek Gilbert and wife Christina Gilbert. Liz will be missed immensely by her family and friends. No one will fill the void of her absence here on earth, but we know she will always be with us. Liz brought enthusiasm and brightness to life even when life threw us curve balls. She always found a realistic bright side and helped us move forward. Liz had the same fervor even during her illness. There will never be another women this strong. The family of Elisabeth Irene Turner will receive friends at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday, June 28th from 7 – 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, June 29th at 11:00 A.M. Cremation.
