December 29, 1943 – January 7, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Enzo Tersigni, who left us peacefully at home on January 7, 2025, at the age of 81, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 29, 1943, to Enrico and Angela Tersigni, Enzo lived a life full of love, hard work, kindness, and generosity.
Enzo was a devoted husband to Silvana, a proud father to Luciano and Domenic, father-in-law to Anya and Judith, and spectacular Nonno to Noah, Joshua, and Siobhan. He is predeceased by his sister Domenica and also leaves behind his brother Pasquale and his sisters Santina, Nicolina, and Bettina, all of whom shared in his journey with love and support.
Known for his passion for the outdoors, Enzo found joy in long walks, exploring nature, and connecting with his neighbors through numerous kind conversations. A “magician gardener,” his green thumb turned simple gardens into works of art, bringing beauty and life to everything he touched. Enzo was a kind, gentle soul who had a special love for children and animals. His warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories and honor his extraordinary life. A celebration of Enzo’s life will take place on Saturday, January 11 beginning at the Oshawa Funeral Home (847 King Street West, Oshawa). Visitation time is between 10 am and 1 pm. Immediately following the visitation time we will proceed to a mass at St Mary’s Church (570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa) and then on to the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (355 Taunton Road East, Whitby) for Enzo’s final resting. All are welcome to join in a casual reception at Enzo and Silvana’s home (264 Huntingwood Drive, Oshawa) following the cemetery ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made towards the Canadian Cancer Society.
Enzo’s kindness, strength, and love will continue to inspire and guide us. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
