Ermelinda Longo passed away at her home on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 at the age of 90. Ermelinda was born on May 25th, 1926 in Lago Cosenza, Italy to Ferdinando and Marianna Mazzotta. Beloved wife of the late Rizzieri Longo for 69 years. Predeceased by her son Adelio and her brothers and sisters. Cherished mother of Rosa (Gino) Conforti, Iola (Alberto) Conforti and Marisa (Carmine) Grande. Nonna to Joanna (Aurelio) Porco, Carmine (Annita) Conforti, Adrian (Flora) Conforti, Lisa Conforti, Tony (Liz) Conforti, Laura (Philippe) Black and Susan Grande. Bisnonna to Paulina and Rosalea Conforti, Alexis and Avery Conforti, Ethan and Juliana Black. Special thanks to Dr. Giuliano Barrettara and her homecare nurse Sina. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, November 30th from 2 – 4 & 6 – 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, December 1st, at 9:30 a.m. Interment at Oshawa Union Cemetery.
