Frances Irene Graves Peters

January 15th, 1923 – September 29th, 2012

It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Fran on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 at Caressant Care, Mary Street, Lindsay, in her 90th year. Predeceased in 2006 by Garfield (Gar) her devoted husband of 64 years. Beloved mother of Terry Peters (Myna), Susan Davis (Jim) and Carol Gay (Gary). Cherished by her grandchildren Christine Edgar (Dan), Neal Davis (Allina) and Allison Whitcombe (Ben). Loving great grandmother to Kyle and Amanda Edgar and Audrey Davis. Dear daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Graves. Survived by her sister Lillian Leitch (Harold). Predeceased by her brothers Bert, Donald, Kenneth and Jimmy Graves and sisters Annie Cogger (Louie) and Donna Knights (Douglas). Fran will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Friends and family are invited to join us to honour and celebrate the life of this amazing woman who we are so proud to have had in our lives. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, October 3rd from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Thursday, October 4th from 1:30 p.m. until the time of her Funeral Service in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations in Fran’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice.
