Scott, my Mom gave me the news recently. I'm sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a good friend to mine, they curled together. When I was with the Ottawa Sun, and covering the Tankard, my car broke down on the way to the event (it was in Chatham, I think). Your father was an official at the event and my Dad called him, wondering whether he could give me a lift. Generously, he did. I'll always remember that ride. I still have an old photo of when they curled together. Your Dad was a fine mentor back in those junior curling days.

As a curling coach, Rich was equal parts strategist, cheerleader, bulldog and comedian - and what a pleasure it was to be on the right side of that unbridled enthusiasm. I will always remember his unforgettable quips with a smile. I feel fortunate to have had the chance to have known Rich, and am grateful for the positive impression he made on my life. My heartfelt sympathies to you, Sally, to Scott and Melissa, and to all of the family.

I will always remember the day Rich showed Up at Wooden Sticks for a visit with that goofy visor with the spiked grey hair on it...he was a real character and he will be missed.  I wish I would've known him in his heyday as a curler!  I will miss watching curling with him...and learning from him!  Oh how he loved that game!  He was a generous man who loved his family and friends.  R.I.P. Coach!

To the Vesey Family my symphathies.  It has many years since I have seen Rich but I can tell you that I have spoken many times of him concerning his golfing and curling.  I worked with Rich at GM and golfed and curled with him.

My relationship and thoughts of him has always plesant ones.

Brabara and  express our deep sentiment on the loss of Rich. Rich was a kind and considerate person. He  helped me in preparing for my heart surgery in 2004 and when I was building the "museum cases" at te OGC he generously donated his father's original cap. Some years back we met (by chance) in Ormond Beach Florida and I directed you and him to The Halifax Plantation golf club when you, Sally, aced the third hole. On meeting, again by chance. the next day in the parking lot at the DeBarry Country Club, Rich spied us and told us of your accomplishment from about as far away as your shot on the par three was ! He was very proud of you.
Your solace will be xomforeted by great memories. We are sorry that we are unable to attend and pay our respects as we are in Florida. Our toughts and prayers are with you.
