Gaetana Maria Oddi

Passed away at home, surrounded by the love of her family on July 1st, 2015, one day shy of her 68th birthday. Predeceased by her loving husband Marcello Oddi (1997). Loving and adored mother of Julia Noordman, Giana Maher (Dwayne), Graziella Oddi and Andy Oddi (Jennifer). Amazing and special Nonna of Cody, Samantha, Justin, Jordyn and Marlee. Gaetana leaves behind longtime friend and companion Pietro Di Padova as well as siblings, Vincenzo Mastroianni (Anna), Lidia Di Vona (Tony), Anna Maria Santucci (Enrico) and brother-in-law Armando Oddi (Concetta). Predeceased by her parents, Pasquale, Maria Grazia and Antonietta Mastroianni and by brother Santino. Gaetana will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Those who knew Gaetana will fondly remember her for her kindness, generosity, strength and her beautiful gardens and love of cooking. She was dedicated to her family and friends and will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Palliative Team and Dr. Kassirer for the care and compassion shown to Gaetana and her family. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Friday, July 3rd from 2 – 4 & 6 – 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. GERTRUDE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 690 King St. E., Oshawa on Saturday, July 4th at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations will be gratefully accepted for Catch Fish Fight Cancer, www.fish4charity.com (Lakeridge Health Foundation Cancer Care).
