January 19th, 1953 ~ October 4th, 2014
After a courageous battle with cancer, Garry passed away peacefully at home with his longtime partner Jean Cooper by his side. Garry will be sadly missed by his family Gloria (Dan Poulton), Glen (Nancy), Gerry (Cathy), Cindy Lemery, Greg and Brad. Predeceased by his mother Lorraine, father Roderick, his twin brother Gordon (2010) (Kathleen). Brother –in-law to Janice Cooper (Steve) and John Cooper. Special uncle to Jennifer, Jessica and great uncle and babysitter to Lennon and many other nieces and nephews. Garry will be missed by his four legged Pomeranian friends Jack, Rod and Gizmo. A special thank you to his nurse Kari Ross. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, October 8th from 7 – 9 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Durham Humane Society.
