George Allen Warren

Passed away peacefully at his home, with his family by his side, on Saturday, May 4th, 2013, George Allen Warren, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Lucy for 60 years, dear father of George (Linda), Debbie (John) and Melanie (Dave). Lovingly remembered by his five grandchildren; Melissa, Dion, Markie (Al), Sean and Connor and his four great grandchildren; William, Maddison, Morgan and Carson. George was a typesetter by trade and owner of Warren’s Printing Place. He was an active Past President of the Kiwanis Club of Oshawa – Durham A M and past Chairman for many years of the Oshawa - Whitby Kiwanis Music Festival. He was an avid golfer and member of the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, May 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of George’s Life will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations in George’s memory to the Oshawa – Whitby Kiwanis Music Festival or the Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
