Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, September 23rd, 2011 in his 86th year. Beloved husband to Marion (nee Sellick) for 58 years. Loving father of Bob (Maryann), Chuck (Karen) and Susan (Rick) and step father to Frank (Jill) and Linda (Peter). Proud Poppa to Angie, Steven, Amanda, Lee, Rebecca, Troy, Justin, Dwayne and Colleen. Great Poppa to eleven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Lloyd and fondly remembered and missed by his brother Stan and his wife Beverly and his sister Shirley. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West, Oshawa (905-721-1234) on Monday, September 26th from 10:00 a.m. until time of a celebration of Gerald’s life in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
