Passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 7th, 2014. Predeceased by her loving husband Corrie. Beloved mother of Cathy (Fred Hermetz), Helene Vandeloo (Frank Murphy) and Paul Vandeloo. Loving grandmother to Steven and Michael Hermetz, Christopher and Nicholas Murphy, and Lindsey and Kyle Vandeloo. She is survived by her sisters Katherine Fitzgerald, Florence (Robert Byrne), Mary (James Landry) and sister-in-law Marlene McDonald. Helen spent 33 years as a beloved teacher working for the Oshawa Separate School Board. She loved her family dearly and was devoted to her church. She treasured all her friends. Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, February 12th from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at ST. JOSEPH THE WORKER PARISH (1100 Mary St. N., Oshawa) on Thursday, February 13th at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations to St. Vincent De Paul Society would be appreciated.
