Joan Catherine Rowe

Passed away on Monday, December 12th, 2011, with family by her side in Oshawa, Ontario, at the age of 59. Joan was born on September 25th, 1952 in St. John’s Newfoundland to Leo and Marcella Peddle. Joan was a loving and compassionate wife and mother who took much joy in taking care of her family. She worked for Bell Canada for 33 years until her retirement in 2008 at age 56. Joan spent her final years doing what she loved most, enjoying time with family and friends. She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of 37 years, Lloyd, her children Gregory and Chrystal, daughter-in-law Tanya, cherished grandchildren Jessica and Crosby, her brothers and sisters Jerome and Gail Peddle, Bernice and Clyde Snook, Mary and Dave Rumsey, George and Michelle Peddle, Ellen Holwell, sister-in-law Linda Peddle, nieces and nephews, dearest friends, Bernice and Mike Walsh, Rose and Absalom Collins, Patsy and Mel King, and their families. Predeceased by her brother Jim Peddle and her sister Alice Thorne. As per Joan’s request, no service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234).
