Both John and I worked with Lloyd. He was one of the few officers we chatted about at the dinner table. All stories were fond ones. Our children, who never met him, know of the "Newf" and wonderful person that he was. We will meet again on the other side, good friend. Anne & John

I just got the news about Lloyd today! I was shocked and saddened. I'm so very sorry to hear.  I'll miss his visits here at the office, please know I'm here if you need me.

I worked with Lloyd many years ago in 33 Division. He was a great guy. We had some fun times together.

My condolences to Lloyd's family.  I had the privilege of working with him at 33 Division for many years.  A perfect gentleman, congenial was always ready to help and encourage.  He is fondly remembered. I want to assure his family of my prayers and thoughts for them at this difficult time.  GOD will take care of you.

So sad to leaned that Lloyd Penney was taken away from us so soon, a great neighbor for the past three years of his life. Our condolences to the Penney's family. Selby and Helen as always.

I transferred into 33 Division in 1986 and was partnered with Lloyd in uniform. Later we both were attached to the Major Crimes Unit. We had a lot of laughs and shared many good times together. Lloyd was always one of my favorites over the years to work with.  Mike Culligan.

We were so sad to hear of Lloyd's passing and wanted to extend our sincere condolences to Linda and extended family. He was a treat to work with and always made you laugh no matter the situation. He has left us too soon. Our thoughts are with you.

Lloyd and I spent many hours working together and shared many a laugh. He was a great copper who understood what policing and life were all about. He always saw the best in people and he will be truly missed. Take solace in knowing another angel is watching over us.

We called upon his great strength many times to help us with many backyard projects and watched his children grow into fine adults.

I worked with Lloyd at 33 Division. He was a kind, funny man & a great officer who had lots of stories. I can remember not long after I arrived at 33 Div being invited by Lloyd to my first B platoon family BBQ at Lloyd's house, he made me feel so welcome. His down home, friendly personality always shone through.  
I was fortunate enough to have recently been in contact with Lloyd on FB messenger, I will cherish that conversation. 
RIP Lloyd, you may be gone but forever in our hearts.
